Senate Rejects Resolution That Would Undermine Net Neutrality

WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–November 10, 2011. The Senate voted today to reject a resolution, S.J. Res. 6, that would disapprove the rule submitted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with respect to regulating the Internet and broadband industry practices. The resolution, which was passed by the House in April, would have not only eliminated the current FCC rules on network neutrality, it would have eliminated the FCC’s ability to adopt any regulation in this area and threaten free speech, innovation and commerce.
