ACLU: Supreme Court Affirms Discriminatory Citizenship Requirements for Children of Unmarried U.S. Citizens Born Abroad

WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–June 13, 2011.  An evenly-split Supreme Court today affirmed a lower court’s ruling upholding a law that unfairly discriminates against fathers, by establishing different citizenship criteria for children born abroad to an unmarried U.S. citizen depending on the sex of the citizen parent.
