NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–22 April 2010 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today voiced concern about the ongoing political stand-off in Thailand, where several dozen people have died this month in clashes between anti-Government protesters and police on the streets of the capital, Bangkok.
“The Secretary-General is very concerned about the continuing stand-off and tensions in Thailand, and the potential for this to escalate,” his spokesperson, Martin Nesirky, told reporters at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
