UNICEF Urges Better Protection of Children in Middle East and North Africa

NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–20 April 2011 – Ongoing violence in the Middle East and North Africa, from Libya and Yemen to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, is taking a heavy toll on the lives of young people, the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said today, urging all parties to do more to ensure the protection of children in the region.
