Congresswoman Kelly to Host STEM Boot Camp for Chicago Students on December 7

CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—December 6, 2013. Congresswoman Robin Kelly will host a STEM Boot Camp on Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event will be held at the Museum of Science and Industry, 5700 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago.

This boot camp is for students from Our Lady of Guadalupe Elementary School to promote science, technology, engineering and math education. Sixth graders will learn about the latest in 3D technology using the Wanger Family Fab Lab, a workshop that allows students to dream up, design and make almost anything they can imagine using cutting-edge software and equipment.

This event is part of Representative Kelly’s traveling STEM boot camp in partnership with tech companies that will help expose students to STEM fields. This is the second boot camp hosted by Representative Kelly. The first was at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School in Harvey.
