Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)–September 25, 2013–The League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area will host a meeting on the topic of Village Achievements and Challenges on October 9, at 7:00 PM at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard in Park Forest.
The Village Presidents and Village Managers of Park Forest, University Park and Richton Park have all been invited to speak on the significant issues that each Village is working on, including recent achievements and current challenges. The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend to learn more about local government issues.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League does not support or oppose any candidate for public office. Anyone interested in promoting responsible government is invited to be a member.
