Police Nab Alleged B.B. Gun Vandals


Four 18-Year Olds Charged 

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Four suspects were arrested and charged with criminal damage to property July 9 after several reports of damage to vehicles from a B.B. Gun. Damage included approximately four car windows shattered in Park Forest in addition to car dents, according to the report.

Also on July 9, two victims reported being allegedly shot with a B.B. Gun on the 100 Block of Warwick Street. The victim reported a car pulling up to the victim and his friend and asking “Do you know where 400 Street is?” One of the occupants of the vehicle then exited and began to shoot at the victim, according to the report. The victim and his friend ran and contacted the police.

Later on July 9, police observed a vehicle matching the description the victim gave traveling westbound on Saul Trail from Lakewood. Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. During the traffic stop, Park Forest Police and Two Richton Park Police observed what appeared to be a handgun under the driver’s seat. All four suspects were taken into custody. Four B.B. Guns were located under the driver’s seat of the vehicle, and a fifth BB gun was located under the front passenger’s seat. A box of B.B.’s was also found in the vehicle.

The four suspects, Ryan Cain, 18, of 43 McCarthy in Park Forest, Labraun Thigpen, 17, of 28 McGarity in Park Forest, Terrance N. Clanton, 18, of 243 Monee in Park Forest, and Daniel A. Sigers, 18, of 539 Hickok in University Park, were all charged with criminal damage to property in reference to this incident. The four suspects were also charged with the B.B. gun damage to the automobiles earlier that evening.  Cain, Thigpen and Clanton were charged with reckless conduct, and Sigers was charged with battery in reference to this incident. All four suspects were also charged with criminal damage to property. All four suspects gave written statements to the police regarding their involvement in the incidents, according to the report.
