Running Club Offers Free Scenic 10 Training

rturtle Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— To prepare for the 30th annual Park Forest Scenic 10, the Park Forest Running and Pancake Club will be offer a running training program to Park Forest residents and club members.

The Sunday runs will take place starting at 8:00 a.m. beginning June 24 and will meet at the Schubert’s Woods forest preserve at the Chestnut Street entrance. The program will run until the Sunday before the Scenic 10.  Runners can start training on their own using the charts below. 

The program will be free to residents of Park Forest and members of the club, said Joe Baska, a trainer for the club.

“We offer the program as a way to facilitate the Scenic 10 and provide assistance to the Village of Park Forest,” said Fred Mazurski, president of the Park Forest Running and Pancake Club.

Baska will host an introductory meeting in Park Forest Village Hall at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 to further explain the program.
