Cars Vandalized, Windows Shattered: Police Seek Public Help

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Park Forest police are seeking help from the public after a string of vehicles had their windows shattered during the night of October 20-21.

Police said in a statement that it was the early Saturday morning of October 21, 2017 when officers on patrol discovered 9 vehicles with windows broken out.

The vehicles were in the neighborhoods south of Sauk Trail, including on Blackhawk Drive, Osage Street, Niagara Street, and Indianwood Boulevard.

“It appears that a BB gun was used to create this senseless damage,” the statement said.

Anyone with information concerning who may be involved in these incidents are asked to please contact the Park Forest Police Department Investigations Unit at (708) 748-1309.

“We would ask residents in that area to review home surveillance video for Saturday morning between shortly after midnight and 6 am to help identify any involved individuals or vehicles,” police said.
