FBI: Robbery of Washington Federal Bank Branch in Chicago

Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Around 9:02 a.m., the Washington Federal Bank branch, located at 1410 West Taylor, Chicago, IL, was robbed. A bank employee arriving for work opened the back door to the bank, and while in the act of closing the door, an individual rushed in to the bank, armed with a box cutter. He allegedly held the employee at knifepoint and verbally demanded cash, threatening harm if his demands were not met. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the alleged robber fled the bank on foot through the back door, heading westbound through the alley behind the bank. No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.

The robber is described as a black male, 6’3” tall, skinny build, wearing a neoprene mask down to his nose, a blue hoodie sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
