Licenses of Park Forest Veterinarian Temporarily Suspended

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—November 24, 2010. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has temporarily suspended the veterinarian and controlled substance licenses of Dr. Gary Friederich, owner of the Park Forest Animal Hospital, 2348 Western Ave., Park Forest.

According to the IDFPR twenty-one count complaint, Dr. Friederich allegedly issued rabies certificates to non-vaccinated animals; allegedly failed to report dogs involved in fights; and allegedly failed to keep a proper inventory of controlled drugs.

The charges are the result of a joint investigation of the Cook County sheriff’s office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), a release from the IDFPR said.
