Man Shot In Park Forest

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- From the Park Forest Police Department:


On Wednesday, November 30, 2016 shortly before 5:00 p.m., Park Forest Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Allegheny St. and Allegheny Ct. for the report of a person who had been shot. Responding officers found an 18 year old Park Forest man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to an area hospital and remains in critical condition.

Due to the seriousness of his injuries, the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was activated and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded. Initial investigation indicates that the incident stemmed from an argument, and investigators do not believe this to be a random crime.

As the investigation is on-going, further information is not being released at this time.
