Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An iPod Touch and $5 cash were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Oakwood Street on June 5. The vehicle had been left unlocked, according to police.

A resident told police on June 13 that a transaction in the amount of $200 was made at a store without her permission using her check card. Police are investigating.

Brandon L. Polk, 24, 67 Marquette St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 13 and charged with possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card when police were dispatched to the first block of Marquette Street to investigate a report of a disturbance.

A Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Lester Road on June 13.

The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the first block of Winslow Street was reported shattered on June 14. An Apple iPhone charger was reported missing from the vehicle.

A resident reported receiving on June 15 a bill for a Capital One credit card for which he did not apply. He canceled the account and informed police.

2 semi-truck rims and a motorcycle battery were reported stolen from outside a residence in the 200 block of Mohawk Street on June 15.

A Pioneer car stereo valued at $600 and a Husky 100 piece tool set valued at $100 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Dogwood Street on June 16. The vehicle had been left unlocked, according to police.

Nathaniel F. Johnson, 50, 114 Hemlock St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 17 and charged with one count of retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of a retail theft in progress.

Kennith R. Garner, 20, 5232 Southwind Dr., Richton Park, was arrested on June 18 and charged with one count of felony criminal damage to property when police patrolling in the 200 block of Allegheny Street suddenly observed a subject later identified as Kennith R. Garner, 20, beckoning them to stop.

A window at Talala School was reported shattered on June 19.

All four tires and rims of a vehicle parked at 520 block of Homan Avenue, the Municipal Parking Lot, were observed by police to have been stolen on June 19.

A male subject between the ages of 18 and 22 allegedly stole a bottle of vodka valued at $8.99 from a business in the first block of Main Street on June 19.

Kevin A. Bass, 28, 9455 S. 85th St., Hickory Hills, was arrested on June 19 and issued a municipal citation charging battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Nassau Street in response to a battery complaint.

Jason D. Tucker, 43, 239 Grant St., Park Forest, was arrested on June 20 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, resisting a peace officer, and failure to report striking an unattended vehicle when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Indiana Street to investigate a complaint of an SUV striking to parked vehicles.

A black mountain bike valued at approximately $2000 was reported stolen from outside a residence in the 100 block of Indiana Street on June 20.

James E. Burk, 22, 23433 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on June 21 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of retail theft.
