Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An HP computer, an LG 47-inch television, an Xbox 360 game system, a 13-inch Sony television, and a Fender Stratocaster guitar are among items reported stolen during a residential burglary in the 100 block of Sauk Trail on August 16.

The wall of a garage of a residence in the 300 block of Neola Street was reported vandalized with graffiti on August 21.

Shamika L. Overall, 22, 3122 Halsted St., Steger, was arrested on August 22 and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis and operating a vehicle with one headlight when an officer traveling northbound on Western Avenue just north of Beacon Boulevard observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Western Avenue with only one activated headlight, according to police. Additionally, Serina C. Currie, 21, 2610 Marigold Dr., Sauk Village and Rochaud A. Alexander, 23, 2613 Knollwood Pl., Hazel Crest, were also arrested and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis.

Latoya Wilson, 26, Sauk Village, was arrested on August 24 and charged with one count of felony aggravated battery to a peace officer when Wilson, a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped in the 100 block of Lester Road, was arrested. According to police, while inside a squad car, Wilson allegedly began kicking the window of the squad car. When an officer opened the door to move her to a different squad car which has window shields, Wilson allegedly began kicking her legs toward the officer, allegedly jerked her arms away from the officer, allegedly kicked the officer in the forehead, allegedly struck the officer several times in the shoulder, and allegedly longed for word and allegedly tried to bite the officer in the face, according to police. Police say Wilson became compliant after a second officer deployed his Taser.

A Stihl TS 420 Cutquik saw valued at $917.95 was reported stolen from a storage unit in the first block of North Orchard Drive on August 25.

Carlos M. Wright, 30, 12628 S. Ada St., Calumet Park, was arrested on August 26 and charged with criminal damage to property and police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Waverly Street to investigate a report of an unwanted subject.

Anthony R.L. Williams, 18, 1919 Revere St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on August 27 and issued a local ordinance tickets charging possession of cannabis and use of cell phone while driving when officers patrolling northbound on Western Avenue approaching Beacon Boulevard observed that Williams was allegedly texting on a cell phone while driving with one hand, according to police.

A gray Blackholm Mongoose bicycle valued at $300 was reported stolen from the 200 block of Ash Street on August 27.

A black men’s mountain bike was reported stolen from the entryway to a business in the 2500 block of Western Avenue on August 27. Left in its place was a red mountain bicycle.

A window in the 300 block of Artists Walk was reported shattered on August 27.

A black banded dress watch with an LCD display, and at am radio, a PDA Vay guitar, a PDA Vay amplifier, and an Olympus camera are among items reported stolen during a residential burglary in the 300 block of Merrimac Street on August 28.

Approximately 100 feet of copper tubing was reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Thorn Creek Drive on August 28.

Ashley R. Sanon, 19, 24 Wedgewood Rd., Matteson, was arrested on August 29 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while alcohol concentration is above .08, and speeding over the posted limit when an officer patrolling in the area of Lincoln Highway and Indiana Street observed a vehicle traveling at what appeared to be an extremely high rate of speed. The officer’s in-car radar indicated that the vehicle was going 78 mph in a posted 40 mph zone, according to police. While speaking with the officer, Sanon allegedly stated that she thought she was going 85 mph "for a second." Sanon’s breath alcohol level was .177, according to police.

A Sanyo 47-inch flat-screen television valued at $600 and a Westinghouse 42-inch flat-screen television valued at $400 were reported stolen during a residential burglary in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on August 30.

The driver’s door of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Orchard Drive was reported vandalized with scratches on August 30.

A fence on the side of a house in the 300 block of Herndon Street was reported vandalized with spray paint on August 30.

An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on August 29 to investigate a report of fraud. A resident told police that he accidentally left his wallet on the counter of a fast food restaurant in Richton Park. He later discovered that his wallet was gone and is credit cards had been used without his permission.

A red Schwinn MOAB mountain bike with a black saddlebag and 26-inch tires valued at $1000 was reported stolen from a detached garage in the 100 block of Chestnut Street on August 31.

A pink girl’s mountain bike and a blue girl’s mountain bike were reported stolen from the kitchen porch of a residence in the 100 block of Elm Street on August 31.

A green electrical box positioned in the parkway near the road in the 200 block of Allegheny Street was discovered vandalized with spray paint on August 31.

A charcoal-black boy’s BMX bicycle with red lettering and four pegs was reported stolen from a locked garage in the 400 block of Miami Street on August 31. Police found no signs of forced entry to the garage door or the service entrance to the garage.

A street sign near North Orchard Drive and Indiana Street was discovered to have been vandalized with spray paint on August 31.

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle parked near the intersection of Forest Boulevard and Juniper Street on September 4. The vehicle had been locked and the alarm had been set, however, the driver’s side window had been left rolled down approximately 6 inches due to the heat, according to police.
