Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Mark M. Stanfield, 32, 3672 Edward Dr., Crete, was arrested on March 14 and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

A juvenile was arrested on March 16 and charged with attempted possession of a stolen motor vehicle after he turned himself in to the Park Forest Police Department regarding an incident in the 500 block of Homan Avenue on March 15.

An officer was dispatched to a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive on March 16 to recover a counterfeit $10 bill that had been received in a transaction. Police are investigating.

Approximately $200 in costume jewelry, a silver brooch valued at $50, a silver LG flip phone, and a strand of freshwater pearls costume jewelry valued at $50 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Berry Street on March 16.

Marshall L. Mosby, 30, 1933 E. Lawrence Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to surrender a suspended driver’s license, attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and no front registration plate. The arrest occurred after an officer observed that the vehicle Mosby was driving north on Western Avenue near Main Street had no front registration plate, according to police.

A laptop computer, a PlayStation three videogame system valued at $299, and a brown wood jewelry box containing miscellaneous costume jewelry items valued at $20, were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Nauvoo Street on March 17.

A white gold bracelet with a double row of diamonds valued at $700 and an ACR computer monitor valued at $150 were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard on March 17.

A juvenile was arrested on March 18 and processed on a charge of domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Westwood Boulevard in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Sangamon Street on March 18 after a resident observed that someone had entered her vehicle, opened the glove box, and left her black leather coat lying on the ground outside the car. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle, which was not locked.

A GE gas stove and a GE refrigerator valued at $500 each were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on March 18.

Dewayne Mack, 28, 129 Hemlock St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 19 and charged with felony burglary after police were dispatched to the first block of Cherry Street to investigate a report of a suspicious person in a driveway.

Approximately 20 feet of one half-inch copper pipe and a hot water heater valued at $300 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on March 19.

Tracey W. Brooks, 19, 2001 Moreland Blvd., Champaign, IL, was arrested on March 19 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the area of Shabbona Drive and Nauvoo Street to investigate a report of subjects walking in the area smoking cannabis.

Jazmine B. Dumas, 18, 137 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on March 19 and charged with domestic battery, battery, and resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Sauk Trail in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.

A juvenile was arrested on March 19 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the first block of Rich Court in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Niagara Street on March 20 to investigate a burglar alarm. Police discovered that a bedroom window was open and the screen was on the ground outside the window. A portion of the screen had been cut, according to police. The resident arrived home and checked the inside of the house which appeared to be okay. Police say nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing.

Angela A. Boone, 22, 9351 Saginaw Ave., Chicago, was arrested on March 20 and charged with domestic battery, resisting arrest, and battery when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Warwick Street to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

Anton A. Gibson, 24, 414 W. Lincoln Hwy,. Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 20 and charged with domestic-related criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to the 500 block of Davis Street to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.

A 1995 Ford Escort station wagon was reported stolen from the first block of North Street on March 21.
