Police Nab 3 Juveniles in Residential Burglary on Douglas

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Three juveniles were arrested in connection with a robbery incident in the 400 block of Douglas Street on July 4. An officer was dispatched to the residence to investigate a report of a residential burglar alarm. The responding officer discovered three juveniles, ages 12 and 13, standing in the driveway of the residence.

The juveniles started to walk away when the officer approached, but stopped when told to do so. The officer discovered a shattered window and found a small brick lying on the couch beneath the window. According to police, there were dresser drawers open in the bedrooms, and clothing in the drawers appeared to be in disarray.

According to police, the juveniles said that they had broken the window and went into the residence. Police discovered X-Box games in their possession. All three were taken into custody, and their cases were referred to the Juvenile Division for petitioning.
