Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- A former resident of a home in the 300 block of Oswego Street returned to the home on July 26 to pick up some items she had left behind. When she arrived, she discovered that the home had been burglarized.

The complainant was evicted from the home on July 11. When she moved out, she was unable to remove all of her personal property. She made arrangements with the company that owns the home so that she could return and pick up the property that she had left behind.

Arriving at the home on July 26 at approximately 10:15 AM, she walked to the backyard to enter the backdoor of the residence only to discover a large smear mark on the lower right side of the door. The door was slightly ajar and the door frame was dislodged from the interior wall of the property, according to the report.

The complainant contacted police. She told responding officers that she did not walk through the interior of the home.

Police observed the conditions of the home and checked the property to clear it of any subjects who might be inside. Finding no one, the complainant joined officers inside the home to see if anything was missing.

Items reported missing from the home include a black Toshiba laptop, a black HP printer, a black Razor dirtbike, a Starbucks Verismo coffee machine, a 32-inch Hisense flatscreen television, a 19-inch Hisense flatscreen televisi and an Xbox 360 gaming console.

Police are investigating.
