Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- WGN reports that two bodies were found inside a home in the 300 block of Todd St. According to WGN, police say a relative found the bodies of a man and woman.

Both had been shot in the head, WGN reports.

Police are investigating this as a possible double murder or murder-suicide.

A spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office told eNews Park Forest at 9:00 a.m. that no identification of the victims were completed, confirmed, or officially released "because the case is still fresh." According to the spokesperson, the victims were discovered in the early morning hours of Monday, October 21.

Identities of the victims may be released this afternoon, pending proper identification by the Medical Examiner’s office and notification of family members.

Park Forest police, however, released the following information in a release:

At approximately 9:37 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013, Park Forest Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Todd St. in Park Forest for the call of shots fired inside of the residence with at least one person shot. Inside of a bedroom in the home, responding officers found Tajuanna Davis (age 32) and Gerard D Jimerson (age 33), husband and wife, both lying on the floor with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Park Forest paramedics responded to the scene and found that neither person showed signs of life.

Family members inside of the home reported hearing a domestic disturbance between the two deceased persons prior to the shooting, which based upon early investigation appears to be a murder-suicide. The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services responded to the scene for crime scene processing and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was activated to assist the Park Forest Police Investigations Division with the investigation.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed later today, October 21, 2013, at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation continues.
