Earthjustice Hits Forest Service with Two Lawsuits Challenging Old Growth Clear-Cutting in Tongass

Suits target Big Thorne timber sale and deficient forest management plan

 

Juneau, AK—(ENEWSPF)—August 22, 2014. Today Earthjustice, a non-profit environmental law organization, filed two lawsuits against the U.S. Forest Service aimed at the destructive practice of old growth logging in the Tongass, America’s largest national forest located in Southeast Alaska.
