EPA Rule on Treated Seeds Challenged, Activists Tell Lowe’s to Stop Selling Neonics

Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–June 3, 2014.  In a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Center for Food Safety (CFS) challenged EPA’s position that seeds coated with pesticides, commonly neonicotinoid pesticides, are exempt from regulation under the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
