Happy Anniversary to LawnReform.org

MAINE–(ENEWSPF)–September 15, 2011.

The date snuck up on me, but before it creeps away too far, I wanted to send along a shout out to LawnReform.org, the coalition of national garden writers dedicated to toxic pesticide reduction and resource management on the lawn. The two-year anniversary of the first post is this week.

The group has stuck to its agenda of providing good, solid how-to information, event notices and just enough opinion pieces to let folks know how we feel.

As I recall, eight of us were involved in the beginning and the list of bloggers, journalists and photographers has grown modestly, by design, to 13: http://www.lawnreform.org/members.html. MegaBlogger, and great ally and friend, Susan Harris, probably deservers the most kudos for her ambition, attitude and unflinching work ethic. If something needs to be said about sustainable landscaping, no one gets the word out there better than Susan.

If you haven’t yet visited the home site, or the Facebook page, there’s no time like the present. This is lawn renovation season, after all. What better time to reform your ideas in the process.
