Helping Local Migratory Birds

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–February 28, 2011.  On Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at the Park Forest Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd., Park Forest, Thorn Creek Audubon Society will sponsor a presentation given by Judy Pollack, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon Chicago Region and Coordinator of the Illinois Important Bird Areas Program.

Judy will show slides of some of the migrants that pass through our community and discuss their natural history.  She will also explain local efforts to conserve these migrant birds and suggest ways that we can held them survive their difficult journey as they pass through our yards.

The meeting is free and open to all.
