Environmental Groups Demand Government Transparency on Recent Surge of Crude Oil Exports
SAN FRANCISCO—(ENEWSPF)–September 24, 2015. Conservation groups sued the Obama administration today for refusing to release information about recent crude oil export authorizations. Despite a longstanding congressional ban on most such exports, U.S. crude oil exports skyrocketed from 44,000 barrels per day in 2009 to 351,000 barrels per day in 2014.
