WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–January 6, 2014. U.S. Senator Mark Kirk released the following statement today regarding the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study (GLMRIS), conducted by the Army Corps of Engineers and released earlier today:
“We must protect Lake Michigan, the Midwest’s most precious ecosystem, from the threat of invasive species, such as Asian carp. We need an effective, scientifically sound solution, which includes maintaining the electric barriers, to protect Lake Michigan.”
