Salt is a grandmother and the Grand Dame of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

Salt is a grandmother and the Grand Dame of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Since 1985 she has escorted twelve of her calves from the mating and calving grounds in the Caribbean back to New England’s feeding grounds.
